UK Vocal Improv on Tour 2024
In 2024, we took UK Vocal Improv on tour to Southampton, London and Leeds. We created a 2-3 day weekend festival unique to each location, with performances, workshops, and more. Through this new adventure, we were able to bring the joy and celebration of vocal improv to almost 250 people, and support a whopping total of 22 artists to share their practice through performance and facilitation. It wasn't easy and we couldn't have done it without the support of our community and our partners, and we are so proud of what we accomplished together.

General Structure
There were a range of ticket options for our mini-festivals; participants could book the whole weekend, or just one day. Each location had a personalised schedule, curated to the local circumstances and community, but here is a rough idea of what each festival structure was based upon!
SATURDAY DAYTIME
10-5pm
Saturday was designed to be a space for learning, with a variety of workshops to choose from including introductory sessions for anyone who wants to try out singing together in this way, as well as deeper dives for more experienced improvisers
SATURDAY EVENING
7-11pm
Saturday Evening was designed to entertain and delight; a welcoming introduction for people new to improv or who just want to see a great gig and have a dance
SUNDAY
10-6pm
The Sunday session was designed for more experienced improvisers to enjoy a co-created space: participants can request or lead deep dives into certain games or themes that feel particularly interesting to them
